B-vitamins were at first believed to be a single substance. As the individual substances were discovered, the term B-vitamin was followed by a number suffix to distinguish between them.
What is Natures Aid Vitamin B Complex used for?

B1 processes carbohydrates, fat and protein - important for healthy nerve cell function.
B2 processes carbohydrates, fat and protein and activates B6 and folic acid. It also has an antioxidant effect, especially in the eye where it preserves glutathione levels.
B3* releases energy from carbohydrates and makes fat from carbohydrates for storage and processes alcohol.
B5 is involved in energy production, transporting and releasing energy from fats. It activates the adrenal glands and is needed for cholesterol synthesis so sterols can be made.
B6 processes amino acids. Helps make serotonin, melatonin and dopamine and lowers homocysteine.
Folic Acid facilitates cell replication & growth. RNA and DNA formation. Lowers homocysteine.
B12 aids nerve cell activity, DNA replication, SAMe production and lowers homocysteine.
Choline improves cell membrane integrity and the movement of fats into and out of cells. Forms acetylcholine for healthy brain function.
Inositol, like choline is involved in the formation of cell membranes, transport of fats and nerve transmissions.
